My mom always said, “nothing makes a sore throat and cough feel better than ginger honey”.

She sure was right. Every time I get a cold or a sore throat, I always drink ginger honey in hot water and it makes it feel better in an instant.

Ginger honey is just sliced ginger in honey. Simple. Easy to make. You just scoop it up after about a day, put it in hot water and drink it like tea. But no more than three cups a day. I guess too much honey is bad for you? Dont’ know but that’s what I heard.


정말 감기가 걸리거나 목이 아프면 너무나도 간절한 생강꿀. 그러나 아이들을 혼자 돌보는 요즘은,,,,,, 내가 아프면 누가 우리 아이들을 돌보나… 싶은게 목이 아프면 안되고, 감기에 걸려서도 안되고, 그냥 나는 천하무적, 항상 건강한 엄마여야 한다는 생각이 든다. 지금도 너무나도 졸리지만, 생강꿀을 탄 뜨거운 물을 마시며 아이들이 기차놀이를 하는 동안 잠시 컴퓨터를 켰다.

It makes me feel like I’m a bad mom if I’m on the computer when my kids are not sleeping. But today…. I just had to. They’re playing so well together and it’s almost like I shouldn’t bother them while they play together. Almost like as if I should be doing something on my own too.

UH~ I just wish this sore throat and cough would go away soon. I feel so tired and low on energy cause of this.

Way to start my weekend. Uh~
