So recently I’ve been totally addicted to the snow shaved ice AKA 눈꽃빙수 in Korea. I wasn’t this addicted even when I lived in Singapore. You’d think that I would be, living in such a hot country, but I wasn’t. Here in Korea, I got addicted even when it wasn’t even hot. I think it was last winter that I went to 설빙 and I just totally got hooked. I got hooked to the Strawberry Bingsoo back then but right now, I’m so addicted to 팥빙수. The one with red beans.
I was soo hooked on this that 9 dollars spent on a big bowl of bingsoo was nothing to me. I didn’t mind walking 2 minutes to get myself a bowl of shaved ice. Until now.
I bout this machine that does the whole shaved ice AT HOME thing and it’s so amazing.
I also bought the red bean paste and some condensed milk to make it even better.
This machine is automated so you kind of have to be careful.
You plug it in, put your ice in the middle part and pull this round lever and it starts spinning.
This middle part is the place where the container and your ice goes.
This is the container that shaves the ice.
And this is where you freeze your water or milk for it.
It comes with a lid so you don’t have to worry about spilling.
Then… WA LA!!!!!
I had some yesterday with the kids and they love it!!! AND SO DO I!!!!
for 50 bucks I think this summer is going to be full of lots and lots of BINGSOO!!!!!
