Fried Chicken | 닭강정

Kaden always wants fried chicken. Every time I ask him what he wants for dinner he’ll say “Chicken!” as if it’s the only thing recognized as food in his head. Out of all the chicken recipes, he likes Dalk-Gang-Jeong(닭강정) the most. Its a Korean style marinated fried chicken that is a very common menu in Korea. However, it does take quite a bit of time to make.


It also goes great with preserved white radish. Korean chicken places serve chicken with radish, pickled radish and they do make a great combo together.

Here in Singapore, there are a couple of Korean chicken restaurants like NE NE Chicken, CHIRU CHIRU, BBQ and more. However, they don’t quite taste the same as the ones in Korea. So Kaden likes to eat it at home. MEANING: I have to cook.


The other day we had some fried chicken at home and I made the well known “half and half” so that the kids could have some chicken too.

정말 저녁에 이거 만들고 치우고 애들 먹이고 그러기가 참 힘든일이긴 하지만 그래도 집에서 양념치킨을 먹을 수 있다는 것에 감사하며 하루를 마무리.
