On the last day of our trip 20160724 Sunday we checked out of the hotel early and headed out for breakfast.
Most of the coffee shops and cafes don’t open early here in Malaysia. However we found that the Starbucks near Thomas Town at the harbour opened at 9AM on weekends.
The kids were so cranky and tired from the day before… I felt bad not giving them anything to eat until we got to Starbucks.
I don’t know if it’s all Starbucks in Malaysia that goes with this but they didn’t have a TALL sized drink menu. Everything started with Grande.
We had a chocolate banana muffin and an oriental danish. The kids ate EVERYTHING. Even down to the crumbs.
Kaden’s Americano and my Caramel Macchiato.
Once we were done, OFF TO LEGOLAND IT WAS!!!!
But then…………………….. It started pouring with RAIN!!!!!!!!
Josh started singing “rain rain go away, come again another day”.
Andrea was just cranky.
Josh wanted to go and see what there was in this Lego filled park.
But it was just too much rain to move around so we went into the little cafeteria behind us.
We settled for some candy and a Lego table.
In any area where you eat or rest, they have plenty of Lego tables for the kids to play with. That was great.
Then after about 40 minutes, the rain started to stop so we headed out for our Lego journey!!!
It was like a misty sprinkler was turned on, the rain would come and go so we would stop at a shelter/roofed little area and then once the rain stopped again we continued.
We went around the miniature Lego area and then too the train ride.
We lined up (or should I say “stood in the QUE”) and on the train it was!
I don’t think Andrea liked it. She wasn’t too happy the whole time.
While on the train, we saw that there was Lego driving school. Josh was really interested in it and wanted to try it. So we did!
We were afraid he would cry and get all mad about it but he did well!
Can you hear us cheering him on in the background of this video? hahahaha yeap. All part of the plan.
After the driving school we walked around and saw different rides and attractions (obviously ones we couldn’t ride on with the kids), so we settled for some lunch. Everywhere you go there’s either a Lego table or a TV with Lego cartoons on it.
Josh was really into it so we ate some food and then headed to the Big Store of LEGO.
Bought our toys and Lego storage boxes, stopped by Burger King cause Kaden was still hungry and then we headed home!
It was a really fun experience for all of us I think. However, I think it would be better to come again once the kids were a little bit older. I think the age of 6+ is the best for Legoland.
